ABOUT US

A group of benevolent people of Ashutosh Colony and Shahidnagar Colony area established SAUJATYA for the people of the locality on the 1st day of April’1972. They thought that to work for mankind is more important than any other things. They dreamt of a socialistic pattern of society. Every human being has tremendous potentiality but they are not aware of their own strength. The Managing Committee of Saujatya tried to kindle the light in the lives of poor, uneducated and ignored people of the area. The Managing Committee has started five units the Cultural Unit, Drama Unit, Medical Unit, Relief Unit and Sports Unit. After sometime, the organisation has started Social Welfare Unit to improve the Social economic status of the local people. Hence forth, the organisation has been working in the field of HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT by expending programmes day by day – Creche, Destitute Home, Short-stay-home, Help Line, Swadhar Shelter Home, Family Counselling Centre, and Recreational and Education Tour programmes.

This organisation now hence fulfilling its cherished goal to work in almost all branches of women and child welfare, started to spread its activities towards implementing projects in welfare of older persons and persons with disabilities in the society.
